use with 0.81.1 precompiled deps

If I try to use the new env vars for enabling precompiled deps, I get the error below https://reactnative.dev/blog/2025/08/12/react-native-0.81#experimental-precompiled-ios-builds

[!] Unable to find a specification for `RCT-Folly` depended upon by `react-native-stallion`

You have either:
 * out-of-date source repos which you can update with `pod repo update` or with `pod install --repo-update`.
 * mistyped the name or version.
 * not added the source repo that hosts the Podspec to your Podfile.

Is there perhaps a modification I can use locally to the Podfile to get this to work, or does it require a react-native-stallion release for support?

I found another repo hitting this same issue and it looks like the install_modules_dependencies helper has the logic baked in to handle swapping out the Folly dep: leegeunhyeok/react-native-zendesk-messaging#90. I should be able to patch this locally to test it out.

I tried this out and it built the react-native-stallion pod, but failed on a react-native-safe-area-context header inclusion error. Seems like this change makes sense to do, but probably the community dependencies aren't quite ready yet for it for apps that have many dependencies that haven't been updated to handle the new precompiled deps.

@AlankarSaxena2712 I think it depends on what version range react-native-stallion wants to support. In order to continue supporting older versions, i think the install_modules_dependencies patch is more reliable (and if another dep is removed, you won't have to patch again).

It builds with that change, however, I wasn't able to fully test it working, since react-native-safe-area-context had a similar problem, and a lot of projects use that.

I think updating to use install_modules_dependencies would be the right thing to do, but the stallion team would probably want to smoke test it on old and new arch and maybe different versions to make sure it builds.

@joprice yes, we have added this fix. Like you have called out, we will test this out in different RN versions before releasing this.

@AlankarSaxena2712 the fix you have suggested would have problems with older RN versions. Checking for 'install_modules_dependencies' is correct.

We will release this fix in an upcoming alpha release.
