The reason is that we (ytmd-devs) received a request to immediately change to a name completely unrelated to Google or YouTube. The current name is a temporary designation, and we plan to change it if a better name becomes available in the future.

Maybe tghere should be a notice in the README about the name change or a pinned discussion or something like that to notify people of the change.
